seven sixty second city
chalk and torn paper. 15" x 15"

Typographic study portraying the 2016 murder rate in Chicago. While the ripped paper and bold typography make it look rugged, the delicacy of the chalk and adhesive barely holding it together show how fragile the piece is. If nothing is done to protect it, the piece will deteriorate over time—mirroring the fate of the city itself.
