In the spring of 2009, I traveled to Peru for a 10-day volunteer trip with an organization called Coprodeli. While visiting Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley of the Incas was exciting, for me, the enjoyment of the trip came when I spent time visiting orphanages, teaching art to children, and visiting some of the poorest places on the planet. For almost two years, I recorded my experiences in the form of a 160-page photo journal, complete with custom typography and a small sample of the 1,100 photos taken.
