While a client like Budweiser might intimidate people and agencies, one of my responsibilities on the account was to redesign the homepage of one of the largest and most recognizable brands in the world. Presenting concepts to executives in St. Louis, art directing a staff of designers in Chicago, keeping the client's objectives in mind while retaining the clean, crisp feel of a homepage were only a small part of my duties. Along with a Copywriter and Creative Director, quarterly business reviews and innovative pitches were vital to keeping this brand fresh and relevant in the digital space. A first-ever mobile site for Budweiser, microsites, integration with offline agencies and vendors, Facebook fan page content, a Budweiser Racing overhaul and weekly maintenance tasks were also some of the projects I was responsible for.
I spent a little less than a year on Budweiser and it was great. Unfortunately, a short lull in their marketing plan and an emergency on another client meant it was time to say goodbye.
